Christianity doesn't know what to do with the 'Torah Movement'

Many people are cautious and concerned about the Torah movement, and they have good reason for that. For they have witnessed bad fruit, bad teaching, and bad lifestyles in the people who say they have this heart for the Father to return to his commandments, and who, in the midst of it, lose sight of what matters most. I want to submit to you that there's been something that's been happening, and it's been what the enemy has been attempting to do for a while. And it's important for us to understand this so that we do not get confused in the midst of the enemy strategies. What we have to understand is that God has truth that he has deposited upon the earth. He has given it at Mount Sinai to His people, and his holy law remains what the life of Christ was imitating, and that Christ called us to imitate him and that Paul called us to imitate Him. Him as he imitates Christ. Imitating Jesus is what we all desire to do. It is the thing that unifies us all. So let's just begin there. But now I also want to tell you that God has been restoring aspects of the life of Christ that's been going missing over the past 2,000 years in the midst of traditions of men that has crept in. Just like at the time when Christ was walking the earth, there were many religious traditions of men that had crept in and divorced Israel from the original intent of what it looks like to worship God. See, that's why Jesus had to tell them, if you actually believed in what Moses said and wrote, you would believe my words before he wrote about me. See, Israel's problem is the same problem that we have is we don't actually believe in God's Word anymore. Instead, what we have done is we have tossed it aside for the traditions and teachings of men that at the end of the day will discredit God's Word at times in our lives and cause us to not walk like Christ. This is how it happens. Many of us come out of many different religious experiences and backgrounds that color how we approach God, His Holy Spirit and His law. We have to understand that his law is holy and good, just as His Spirit is holy and good. But it can become a burden when it's not approached in faith, when it's laden with the traditions and burdens of men, just like those who did it to the people of Israel, to which Christ said, you lay burdens on the shoulders of men which you are not even willing to lift with your fingers. Faith is what has become missing today. Yet again, it is something that we hear about so often. Have faith. Have faith. And it started to lose its actual meaning in our lives. And maybe that's part of even your struggle. You who's watching, you believe in Jesus, yet you still feel that you have guilt and shame. And you've been listening to the wrong voice. Because when Yeshua healed and forgave, he said, you are forgiven. Go in peace. Whether to the Samaritan women, to those who were healed, to the demoniacs. Therefore, how can we still live in guilt? 1 John 1:9, if we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That's the end of that. It is finished. See, we cannot keep the Torah. Yes, I just said it. We cannot. You can only walk out of the Torah in your life through the Holy Spirit working in you, through the love of God working in you. And yet the Holy Spirit has become a footnote to those who seek to keep the Torah. And to those who seek the Holy Spirit, the Torah has become a footnote, because somehow the Torah is in. In contradiction to the works of the Holy Spirit. And so you have the two groups who are hating at one another, but yet each of them have something the other needs. And yet at the same time, both of them have things wrong. And it's just a mess because of our pride, because it's in our humility and our humility alone. Listen to me, brothers and sisters. I love you. It is our humility and humility alone of coming to one another and seeing Christ in one another and seeing the unity that we are bound together in Christ and having iron, sharpened iron, that we can finally learn from one another, because God has revealed different things to different groups. But as long as we are going to be prideful, as long as we're going to sit here and say that we've got it all figured out, as long as you do that, you will not see the revelation of Christ as He has it for you. There is a revelation he has for you. But there is so much more that we find in our humility. Humility. And when we find ourselves going to him to rest in his finished work on the cross, that saves us recognizing that we cannot justify ourselves by our own works, because if we could, his sacrifice would be for nothing. What would be the point of him coming or sending a spirit? But many of you have recognized that. But you also have to believe that he's powerful and he died specifically to save you. And as long as you attempt to work towards that Approval earning his salvation. You will rely on self and not his sacrifice. And on the other side, some of you who are relying rather on your works of the Holy Spirit, and you're saying, well, I've got all the Holy Spirit works in me. I see demons leave, I see the seal, the sick healed, I see the dead raised right. And yet Yeshua said, there will be some who says, I have done these things, yet he will declare to them, I don't know you. I don't know you. He says, the issue is, is your lawlessness depart from me, workers of lawlessness. See, you could say, I love you, Jesus. You could say, I love you, Father, you could say whatever you want to say. But true faith was always true. Biblical faith was always about both what you say and profess and what what you profess does to you. See, if you truly profess it from the heart and you truly believe what you profess, that faith in Christ to save you, then that faith is so strong that it changes your works, it changes your behavior, and you started having the law written on your heart, and you're inclined to walk like Jesus, who walked like his Father and who walked in holiness. And then you find yourself in a place of just wanting to be like him more and more instead of making excuses for why you don't. And see, so much debate in this day between the denominations is about, I like this part of Jesus and you like that part of Jesus. And you debate one another as to why your excuse for not walking like Jesus is better than their excuse for not walking like Jesus. Well, the reality is you're all wrong in different ways. And you need to get together and recognize that, yes, earnestly desire the gifts of the Spirit as God instructed you to do. Do not be a cessationist teaching that the Holy Spirit has ceased and even indirectly becoming a practical cessationist by not walking in the Holy Spirit in your life, no matter what you teach, because fruit matters. And at the same time, not becoming someone who says, well, the law of God doesn't matter anymore. I have the Sabbath rest of Yeshua. Never mind that Yeshua said the Sabbath was made for you to rest in, and you were made for the Sabbath speaking of the seventh day that the Lord has made and rested upon it. See, there are so many things that we make excuses for, and it hurts no one but ourselves. It hurts our revelation of Christ. It hurts our understanding of the great faith that he has called us to, to see greater things, the things that he has seen, and greater things than these because he's going to the Father. How will we see the things he has seen if we do not desire the things he desired? How will you see the things he has seen if you do not desire to walk in the ways that he did? Because see, to see something is to walk in it. What you walk in, you will see. Walk in the good works because of your love for him. But recognize that he loved us first while we were still sinners and died for us. That means that he thought of you and his thoughts of you haven't changed. And you need to believe in what he thinks about you, that whilst you were still sinners he had kindness to lay his life down in love for you. So enter then those good works enjoy. And in the forgiveness of Christ, not to work in earning salvation or earning something from him, but because of the joy of salvation that indwells you not from the burden of seeking his approval, but from the joy that he has already proclaimed. Welcome home, my Son. Knowing you're forgiven and also knowing that he forgives you quickly when you make mistakes will help you enter His Sabbath rest, not only once a week, but spiritually resting in his work of salvation done for you, and in His Holy Spirit that has now been given to empower you, and in his commandments that changes you and allows you to walk in holiness as He.

There is a tension between believers: While some of us earnestly desire to keep God's law, we still struggle with guilt, shame, burden, and the Holy Spirit. While others desire to walk in His Holy Spirit, they struggle to reconcile their lives with a law-keeping Jesus. Movements struggle, Yeshua remains the same and is still calling us 2000 years later to leave harmful man-made doctrines and walk as He walked.
