Testing Satan's Little Season Theory: Jesus Already Returned?

So the Feast of Trumpets is coming up, and depending on your eschatological viewpoint, some of us will be celebrating the Feast of Trumpets much different from others.

Your true history has been hidden from you, and in this presentation, I will show you evidence that the millennial reign of Christ already happened.

Some of us will be looking at the Feast of Trumpets as a celebration of what is to come. The day of the Second Coming, when Jesus is going to come back in the clouds for His people and the dead will be resurrected. But others will look at the Feast of Trumpets as celebrating something which has already happened. That Jesus has already come back. That the resurrection of the dead already occurred. And the Millennium being in our past. And that we're living in a time now that's called Satan's little season.

We are now living in the period few have ever heard of called Satan's short season, a.k.a. Satan's little season. Could it be a possibility that we are living in Satan's little season? It sounded crazy to me at first as well.

This is a growing theory amongst believers, and it's important to talk about it so that when we get to the Feast of Trumpets, we understand what the Bible teaches about the return of Christ. Now, this teaching was inspired by multiple of you asking of me to talk about it, including April from Time Pico, who asks, hello, Petey, I have a question about the following verse in Matthew 16:28. Truly, I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom. She says, I know that those who believe in the theory of Satan's little season use this verse as a proof text. That Christ's second coming had to have been during the time of the disciples, because Jesus told that group that some of them wouldn't taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom. She says, I am opposed to the Satan's Little Season theory, but I'd like to have a better understanding of this specific verse, as many friends have asked for my opinion on the theory and they always mention this verse.

But let's consider the fact that Jesus had literally told those standing in front of him that some would not taste of death till they saw his return.

All right, April, well, thank you for sending that in, and we're going to be looking at Matthew 16 and more verses soon. But first of all, I think it's important for us all to get on the same page regarding what is this Satan's Little Season theory. The theory we're about to discuss flips everything you knew about the Bible and history on its head. The Satan's Little Season theory is a recent alternative eschatology which is often tied to other theories like Tartaria or hidden history. Now, just as a brief refresh for all of us on the end times timeline, we have the second coming of Christ where Jesus returns and resurrects the dead. We then have a millennial reign of Christ for 1,000 years where Jesus rules from Jerusalem. Satan is locked away during this period so that he cannot deceive the nations. After that 1,000 years end, Satan is released for a little while, and during this brief time, this little while, Satan gathers people from the nations to rebel against Christ, the saints, and Jerusalem. God then destroys Satan and throws him into the lake of fire. We will go through the scriptures detailing these events later. For now, I want you to understand that the proponents of Satan's little season theory typically agree with this timeline, but teaches that we are currently in a different place on this timeline. Than what most believers would hold. The theory states that we are currently living after the return of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the 1,000-year reign of Christ, and rather during Satan's final release. Now, you may be wondering at this point how this could be possible, considering that world history doesn't teach us that Jesus returned, resurrected the dead, and ruled and reigned from Jerusalem for 1,000 years. This 1,000 years just seems missing from our textbooks. That's because the Satan's Little Season theory relies on an alternative world history. That Jesus's rule for 1,000 years has been erased from our world history records. That the second coming of Christ has, in effect, been hidden from us by Satan. Discovering this narrative online can feel world-shattering because it reinterprets all major end-time events as already finished.

And once you see the proof, it will change the way you see everything.

And the believer's posture is now shifting. It's no longer one of hope towards the second coming of Christ, Since according to the theory, he already came back. But the question posed in the beginning of this teaching by April is valid. Matthew 16 does sound strange. I mean, just look at verse 28 where Jesus says, Verily I say unto you, there be some standing here which shall not taste of death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom. Look, here you have it. It's right there. Jesus should have returned in their day before they died. He said it himself. All right, so I want us to zoom out a bit, look at the context, and look at some parallel verses, because there's actually a few places in the Bible where this moment where Jesus is speaking is recorded. Now, first of all, here in Matthew 16:28, which we just read, If we flip our Bible over just to the next page in Matthew 17, we read about the famous Transfiguration. Now I want us to make a note of that, and then we're also going to go to Luke 9:27. Jesus says, but I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God. And then in the next verse, Luke 9:28, we see the Transfiguration story is told to us. All right, let's go to another place where the story is recorded. Mark 9:1. And Jesus said to them, truly I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with Power. And in the next verse, yes, you got it right, it's the Transfiguration again. We're seeing that all 3 biblical accounts of the same moment are both followed by this Transfiguration text, and all 3 accounts focus on the arrival of the Kingdom of God. So what does this all mean? Let's look at one more example regarding his coming. In 2 Peter 1:16, we read, for we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the majestic glory, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. So Peter confirms for us that the disciples saw the coming of the Son in great power and glory, and then he again makes references back to the Transfiguration. Why does it keep happening that the Transfiguration comes up when Jesus or Peter is speaking about his coming and the coming of this kingdom of his? Well, we have to just ask, what is the Transfiguration? At the Transfiguration, we have Christ and His disciples, and we have Moses and Elijah appear in great glory. And we see God the Father speaking from heaven in that moment and saying, this is my Son. He has come. It's really what He is confirming. This is the moment where the disciples Come to the full knowledge of who has been with them, the actual Son of God. Moses and Elijah are testifying. The Father in heaven are testifying. There is nothing more that they can receive to understand that this is the actual Son of God. And so this, I want to submit to you, is not by accident. This is all given to us to confirm the coming of the Son and His kingdom. The proponents of the Satan's Little Season theory have a confusion between the first and the second coming, because when they hear Jesus talking about the Son coming and His kingdom coming, they immediately assume that He's speaking of the second coming because, well, look around. Where is the kingdom of God? It's obviously not come yet, right? Where is the kingdom of God? In Luke 17:20, Jesus answers the Pharisees because they asked him this question of when the kingdom of God would come. And this was an important question for the Pharisees because they believed that the kingdom of God comes when the Messiah frees them from the Romans and rules from Jerusalem upon the earth and sets the world straight. Something we're all looking forward to and something that they were also looking forward to. And so the Satan's Little Season theory holds to this idea that the kingdom comes when Jesus rules on earth and we can visibly see it. But I want you to notice how Jesus answered regarding when the kingdom would come. And He says, the kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, look, here it is, or there. For behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you. So Jesus drops a truth bomb, and He says, look, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you. Because the Son of God is in the midst of you, because where the Son of God is, there is the kingdom. Because Jesus confirms to us that the kingdom of God has come in their midst with his first coming, for he spoke these words during his first coming upon the earth. We see an example of the kingdom of God coming in Luke 11:20, where He says, "But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you." A radical statement. Jesus is saying the moment that you see a demon leave someone, the kingdom of God has come upon you. And not only that, He actually commands His disciples, His followers, me and you, on. What to tell someone when they get healed by Jesus today? In Luke 10:9, Jesus tells those who are sent out, heal the sick in the cities and say to them, the Kingdom of God has come near to you. So this is the truth. And when someone gets delivered from a demon, someone gets healed from disease, when God does a miracle upon the earth, The kingdom of God has come upon the earth. Now, of course, that doesn't mean that the kingdom of God also isn't coming, and this is at the crutch of this confusion, right? Because it's like, yeah, the kingdom of God comes through the power of God when someone gets healed, but obviously the fullness of God's kingdom isn't here. I mean, just look around. Look at all the death. Look at all the sickness. I mean, Jesus is. Not in the flesh with us, yet we know one day He is going to be. And so this is the idea of what scholars call the kingdom is here but not yet. Because biblically we see this, we see that Jesus says the kingdom has come, and we also see that it is pronounced to us that the kingdom is coming and that we should pray for the kingdom To come. Father, let your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. For the kingdom of God has come, but not as it is in heaven yet. For one day there's going to be a new heaven, a new earth, where heaven and earth are going to merge, and the kingdom of God is going to be on earth as it is in heaven. In the same vein, people often also ask about Matthew 24:34, where Jesus said, truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until these things take place. Let's also look at the context of this verse. In just the verse before, verse 32, we read, from the fig tree learn its lesson. As soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also when you see all these things, you know that He is near, at the very gate. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. All right, so Jesus is referring to the fig tree as an example. When we look at the leaves of a tree, we can know what season it is, and He says that the coming of the Son will occur Similarly, in a season that will also have accompanying signs, we will also be able to look upon signs like a tree changing its leaves to know that we are in the season of His return. And then He says, "I say to you, this generation will not pass away until these things take place." And so when He says this generation. It's important for us to understand what that Greek word is for this. The word houtos— this houtos generation— is a Greek word that's highly versatile, and it's a demonstrative pronoun which can mean a few things like the same, a, this, that. etc. And so, we can see that Jesus, in talking about season and times and figuring out the time of His return, He states that when the signs of His coming are indicating that He is at the very gates, coming very soon, that the generation will not pass away. Indicating to us that the things foretold will occur in one generation, that is quickly. That that generation will not pass away when the leaves on the trees change. Next, we need to understand that these Satan's little seasons. Theory hinges upon 2 things. Number one, as we briefly mentioned, that the second coming of Christ has been lost and forgotten to history, that it is hidden and we don't know that it occurred even though it actually did. And number 2, that our present reality is Matching the description of what the Scriptures describe, the time of Satan's little season and how that will be like. So the question is: Did the world forget the Second Coming? Let's look at how Scripture describes the Second Coming. In Matthew 24:29, we read: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened. The moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. So we read clearly that when He comes back, It's going to be apocalyptic. He makes that clear when He says what the signs will be, where there's going to be stars falling from heaven, the sun and the moon going dark, the Son of Man appearing in the sky with trumpets blowing, and the resurrection of the saints. I mean, let's be real. This sounds like the most earth-shattering event the world has ever The first coming of Christ, you know, when He was born into the world, that was a meek and quiet moment. We have a baby born in a feeding trough for animals somewhere. We have some prophets who figure it out, but for the most part, no one really knows. Compared to the second coming, Where we have this earth-shattering lion appearing in the sky in an apocalyptic scene. This is much more visible than the first coming of the Lamb, and that first coming of the Lamb the world remembers. I mean, even unbelievers admit that there was a person born. Jesus Christ. So the world remembers even though Satan has tried to destroy the message of Yeshua. So the Satan's Little Season theory hinges on humanity remembering the first coming of Christ but forgetting the second. It depends on the second coming of Christ being hidden And not apocalyptic. I want to submit to you, in truth, that history will never forget the first coming of Christ, despite Satan's attempts to erase the knowledge of Christ upon the earth. And history will never forget the second coming of Christ, because the world will literally be split in two. Zechariah 14:4 says, on that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in 2 from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the mountain shall move northward and the other half southward. Zechariah describes that day further. He goes on in verse 8 to say, on that day, living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half from them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter. So this is going to be something that becomes a permanent change of river structure in winter, in summer, and so on. We also read in verse 9, the Lord will be King over all the earth on that day. The Lord will be one, and his name one. And lastly, he says, Jerusalem shall be inhabited, for there shall never again be a decree of utter destruction. Jerusalem shall dwell in security. So think about the prophecy we just read that tells us what will happen at the second coming of Christ, and think about whether those things have happened. Whenever prophecy is brought up that may question the Satan's Little Season theory, the proponents of the Satan's Little Season theory will say, well, the elites have erased the history, so these things have already happened, but we just don't know about it. I want to submit to you that the only way for the Satan's Little Season theory to survive is by labeling any prophetic fulfillment that disproves the theory as forgotten history. But prophecy is given in Scripture for a purpose— to place us on God's prophetic timeline. God wants us to know what has happened, what's going to happen, and where we are now on His history. But the Satan's Little Season theory renders almost all written biblical prophecy as useless because the historical record itself is considered useless whenever it disagrees with the theory.

This is the greatest cover-up in the history of this realm.

The problem is, is that Scripture does not warn of any such total corruption of world history. Neither Jesus nor the prophets nor the apostles warn of this. Rather, Scripture warns of the opposite. As Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:17, and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have swerved from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are upsetting the faith of some. The Bible doesn't warn against those who say that the resurrection of the dead is coming. Rather, it warns against those who say it has already happened, and Paul specifically says that this belief can upset the faith of some. But why does he say that? I want to submit that the hope of our faith hinges on the future resurrection of believers and the return of Christ. Taking that away and saying that all that has already happened, even though we don't see the fruit of His return in the world today, will upset the faith of some. Because when what they see around them inevitably doesn't line up with the promises of resurrection and freedom, Then they're just gonna say, well, this doesn't seem legitimate. But now here's the thing. We don't need to agree on world history to see that the Satan's Little Season theory is wrong. We only need to look to our present reality. Because Scripture clearly describes the nature of Satan's Little Season, of what that time will be like. And we just need to see whether what Scripture describes lines up with our present reality. In Revelation 20:6, we read, Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with Him for 1,000 years. So where are they ruling from? Where is Christ? Where are these resurrected saints? We can see the answer to this in Jeremiah 3:17. It says, at that time, Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the Lord, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the Lord in Jerusalem. And they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart. So we are reading that the resurrected saints will rule and reign for 1,000 years with Christ in physical Jerusalem, and that these resurrected saints cannot die because the second death has no power over them. They are immortal. Further, when we read on in Revelation 20:7, it says, And when the 1,000 years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are on the 4 corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven And consume them. All right, so let's summarize. For 1,000 years, Jesus is reigning with the saints from Jerusalem on earth. After that 1,000 years, Satan is released for a little while, and at the end of Satan's release, the camp of the saints are still on earth at the beloved city that is Jerusalem. We know this because Satan's little season concludes with the nations of the world attacking the camp of the saints in the beloved city on earth. It says, And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. Therefore, if we are in Satan's little season right now, we have to ask: Is this the reality upon the earth? The Satan's little season theorists would argue that the resurrected saints have ascended into heaven after that 1,000-year millennium concluded, and as Satan's little season started, because their specific earthly mandate Was finished. The problem is this is in contradiction with the scriptures. The scriptures never describes an extra ascension to heaven anywhere on the timeline. This extra ascension is made up because it's absolutely critical for the Satan's little season theory to work. But scripture consistently describes Yeshua present in Jerusalem. From the time of His second coming, ruling in peace and ultimately defending Jerusalem from the attacking nations, He never leaves. Therefore, I'll ask one more time: If we are in Satan's little season right now, is what the Scriptures describe of Satan's little season the current reality upon the earth? Number one, the Messiah has never. And is not presently ruling from Jerusalem. Number two, the immortal resurrected saints are nowhere to be seen. Number three, Jerusalem is not dwelling in security forevermore as Zechariah 14:11 mandates. Just turn on the news. Number four, living waters are not flowing from Jerusalem. And number 5, last but not least, the Mount of Olives have never been split in 2. God gave us these irrefutable political, apocalyptic, and supernatural signs that neither Satan nor history can cover up. And so, I understand that Satan's little season theory has many branches. That there's always more to address. But this video isn't going to cover every aspect, and neither do we need to. We only need to demonstrate that the Second Coming has not yet occurred. Now let me be clear, if you believe that we are currently living in Satan's little season, we can still be friends. I love anyone who believes this. That's why I made this video. That's why I have to tell you the truth. I don't think that you're no longer saved just because you hold to this theory. All I'm saying is that based off searching the Scriptures, I know that it is wrong and that if you invest in it, it may eventually start influencing your spiritual life negatively. It's exciting to think that we've uncovered something that no one else knows. God has placed a love for mystery and finding the truth in all of us. But just because something sounds mysterious, that sounds like that there's been a cover-up, that doesn't make it true. This thrill for mystery can become a distraction for us. And I say this in great love because many years ago, I was super into conspiracy theories. It fascinated me. Even being a believer, right? I spent a lot of time on researching many things that the elite is hiding from us. But I realized that it didn't quench my thirst, nor did it give me peace. So, even if you disagree with my findings here today, I want you to ask yourself genuinely, Is your thirst quenched? Are you receiving peace from this? Judge the matter by the fruit that it produces in your life. I hope that this has been a blessing to you, or at least thought-provoking.
