The Levitical temple and all of its different elements, such as the anointing oil, temple tax, bronze basin, and incense, were given for a purpose overlooked all too often: To provide us with a deeper revelation of the gospel, our role as priests ministering in the intimacy of the Father, and our role as temple of the Holy Spirit.
