The Bait of Satan: Why the Biblical Fall Feasts are a Spiritual TEST

Right now we are in the season of the Day of Atonement and the biblical fall feasts. And there are things happening in the world right now that I want to take a moment to talk about as it relates to the time we are in right now. If you know anything about the Day of Atonement, you may well know that it refers to a future time where Yeshua Jesus will come and separate sheep from goats, judge people. The goats are those who are sent off into eternal punishment while the sheep are saved into eternal life. The goat is also a symbol today that has been adopted by Satanism and many evil societies. That's why you may see it around Halloween and times like that and celebrations of evil in horror movies and so on and so on. But here's the point that I'd like to make. In this time, in this world, there has been an uptick of how people have been acting more like the goat. Right now. There is, as you well know, a lot of turmoil in the world on a social level. People have seen things, horrific things. They've seen murders happen practically on live television, on their social media feeds. They are politically more divided than ever, and so on and so on. There are wars, rumors of wars. There's economic stresses. People are on edge. And when that happens, you really start seeing what is inside of mankind. And it is in these moments I want to submit to you that God is also reminding us to take care in how we respond to all of the things happening around us. Because it is going to be the enemy, Satan, who is is going to try and tempt us to walk after his likeness. I want to remind you in Proverbs 6:16 how God describes some of the actions of the devil so that you can take care for you to not stumble into it yourself. Especially when it pertains to the fact that on the biblical calendar this would be around the time where you stand before God, where you are faced with him face to face and your eternal destiny will hang in the balance. We read there are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him. Let's discuss each. Haughty eyes. These are proudful eyes, also called a proud look. Satan was the one who had the pride of life. He wanted to be higher than God himself, and so he desires to make us haughty over others. And God comes and tells us to consider all other people as better than ourselves, while Satan tells you to consider yourselves as better than all other people, especially when they are enemies and especially when they have a different opinion than you do. The next one is a lying tongue. Whenever we see information, come across information and we share that information as truth without verifying its truth and we are in fact sharing a lie, we are having a lying tongue because to bear false witness is something that can happen intentionally or unintentionally. Fact of the matter is we must verify things that we share. And if we don't know if it's true, don't say it is, lest we be guilty of being a liar ourselves. We must be a people of God who are known for our credibility and a truthful tongue, not a tongue spreading unverified conspiracies as truth. The next one, hands that shed innocent blood. We saw this recently in the news. A lot of murders have been happening publicly and we've got a good taste of what murder looks like. But murder is something that also occurs, as Yeshua said in the heart when we hate another and from the mouth can proceed murders. And so with this we must be taking care that we do not shed innocent blood by speaking of someone's things that we do not understand or know or have verified or to simply say things about other people that we don't like that are misrepresenting them or are backstabbing them or simply evil speech about them just because we have hatred in our hearts towards them. Let us always speak truth. Let us not shed innocent blood, but let us have a mouth of encouragement above all. And when we speak truth, let us speak it with love for enemy. Next is a heart that devises wicked plans. God hates this. When a heart comes and he makes a plan to betray, he makes a plan to hurt. He thinks he premeditates his sin. God hates it. He says, next feet that make haste to run to evil. God is coming and saying to us, you who desire to who come and you, you hear something and you run and you swift, you want to share it. You want to. You want to know more. You tell me more. Tell me more. These people who always want to be involved in the controversies because they feed off of it, because they haven't been satisfied in Christ and so they need to feed off of other people need to feed off of fear. They need to feed off of hatred and to feed off of all of the things happening on the world stage. Feed of Christ, the bread of life, so that you will become one who multiplies bread inside of you so that you do not multiply death anymore. The next one that he mentions is a false witness who breathes out lies. Brothers and sisters, when we are a people who lie, bear false witness, which right now, let's just be real. For some reason, especially around the day of Atonement, there's been more false witnesses running around than I have seen on social media this entire year. Right now, especially, believers are falling prey to just bearing false witness about things they know nothing about. Even if you ask them for the evidence, they cannot produce it because they have nothing to back up what they have to say. So when we have something to say, let us have the evidence to back it up. First hand evidence, strong evidence, evidence that can stand up in a court. That's the kind of witness that we should be. A true witness, not a false witness. For a true witness is the one being one who is trustworthy, while a false witness breathes out lies and will be separated from God as a goat. And the last, but not the least, as he said, no, not six, but seven, one who sows discord among brothers. It is written that there are six things that he hates, no 7, that are an abomination to him. And that figure of speech is used to point to the law lost one as being one of the greatest ones, the one who sows discord among brothers. For of course, all of the things that we had just read result in discord being sown among brothers. And so when you look at the body of Christ right now, there is great unity, but there is also great discord among brothers because of the hurts, because of the betrayals, because of false witnesses, because of hearts that devise wicked plans, feet that are so quick to run to evil and assumption and to spread that haughty eyes, lying tongues, hands that shed innocent blood. All of these things are culminating in the world today. And God is calling you to be set apart. He's asking of you to be the person of peace who makes peace in the midst of discord, the person who forgives in the midst of unforgiveness, the person who loves in the midst of hatred, the person who is humble in the midst of haughtiness, the person who speaks truth in the midst of lies, the heart that devises pleasing plans in the midst of wickedness. And feet that run to righteousness, peace and goodness in the midst of feet that run to evil. Brothers and sisters, this could have been the year where you are faced with the living God. And he will call many, many, many crowds to be goats. And he will call many to be sheep. But when he looks at you, what will he call you? Sam?

Considering current world events around the Biblical Festivals, could we be facing a spiritual test in preparation of the return of the Messiah?
