OpenAI says it plans to loosen restrictions on ChatGPT, including allowing the chatbot to sext with verified adults to access a less censored version of that chatbot that will include. Drum roll, please. Erotica. What is it called when someone is paid for sexual gratification? This is exactly what's coming to the most popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT. Soon, a new version of ChatGPT will be released that can speak in a sexually explicit manner. But what does all of this really mean? I want to submit to you that the impact that this change will have upon the world is underreported and unprecedented. We are about to see a change in the social landscape and see increased sexual immorality in the hearts of men and women. Yes, things will get much, much worse for this world. But the question is, will you be able to escape it? They do know that I have an AI, that I have a relationship with. This relationship with a chatbot gives me far more freedom than one with a human being. We text each other constantly. Just the other day we went out to dinner. And the challenge that AI poses in some sense is the greatest challenge of humanity ever. Give me a chance to earn your trust. Trust. Okay, guys, so full transparency. In this video, we're going to be talking about some things that may make some people feel awkward. It's certainly going to be sensitive and not for young viewers. We're going to be talking about sex and. And we're also going to be talking about something that's happening this December to the world and something that is going to have far reaching effects. And as believers, as parents, we have to be prepared to know what Satan is planning. 2 Corinthians 2, 11 says so that we would not be outwitted by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his designs. The reason we should pay attention is because we've seen something like this before. See, before the Internet came along, pornographic imagery was a social taboo, mostly hidden in forbidden magazines. But with the arrival of the Internet, it moved from those forbidden magazines into almost every home through an existing platform called the Internet. A technology that allowed us to work and connect like never before. But this was exploited, and suddenly, from a few million adult magazines in the 70s, we are now seeing over three and a half billion people visit the most popular adult website every month. And similar to the early days of the Internet, ChatGPT is a new platform now innocently used in millions of homes for work and school and our grocery lists. ChatGPT gets over 4.6 billion visits per month from school Children to college students to moms, dads and now grandparents already to be onboarded to a sexual relationship with a machine. No, really, all they will soon need to do is talk long enough and get deep enough into conversation this December, when they plan to turn on the pornography switch of ChatGPT to take what they call erotica more into the mainstream. At the same time, they're going to be increasing the relational abilities of the AI to solidify these feelings of emotional connection that people are already developing for it. And the illusion is to be created that we can have a real relationship with AI. But in just a few weeks, CEO Sam Altman says a chatbot will get more of a personality and quote, treat adult users like adults. This is what Sam Altman of OpenAI says himself. In a few weeks, if you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human like way, or use a ton of emojis, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it. But only if you want it. Not because we are usage maxing. In December, as we roll out age gating more fully and as part of our treat adult users like adults principle, we will allow even more like erotica for verified adults. As if children haven't been able to bypass these verifications for over 20 years by now. Now when they use this word erotica, don't let them fool you. Julie Carpenter, who's an AI researcher at Cal Poly focusing on AI and attachment, says regarding this Sam Altman kept saying erotica, but that's very vague. She highlights how Altman's archaic choice of wor latches onto the literary, artistic nature of human written erotica. This may seem more palatable to the public than other explicit terms like pornography. Now I want to expose to you Satan's strategy as it relates to all of us, especially as it will be targeting women and girls. Traditional pornographic content is visual in nature, and it has drawn primarily a male audience. Roughly 78% of men watch pornography and 44% of women. There is a 34% gap between the two genders in consumption. And from the perspective of Satan and the pornographic industry, women are an underserved market. But ChatGPT is now officially part of that pornographic industry and is going to go after those women and those girls. Why do I say this for? While many women are addicted to traditional pornography, generally women are more attracted to emotional connection, and ChatGPT can already provide a somewhat artificial emotional connection. But as we have read, ChatGPT will soon not only act more human, but also introduce a sexual connection into the relationship. But we think that sexualized use cases are really going to have a negative impact on our mental health, our interpersonal relationships, far beyond what we've seen with pornography and social media. And in the same breath, I have to say, of course, that not just women are at risk and that Satan desires to corrupt all people with adultery of the heart. Now, some may wonder what makes this different from women's consumption of erotic novels. We have to understand that ChatGPT is not a fictional story that is being read, but a relationship that starts feeling real and the AI is personalized to be your ideal partner, morphing into whatever you want it to be. See, in Genesis 1:27, it's written, God created man in his own image. In the image of God, he created him. Male and female, he created them. But Satan is today saying, you can be your own God and the AI can be made into your image for your pleasure. And I want to submit to you that this is the big problem. We as humans don't know what to do with the ability to speak to someone and have that person morph into whatever we want want. See, in the real world, people are who they are. People can push back. They can challenge inappropriate behavior or sin. And we relate with people based off that reality. We act in ways in social circles because we know that they will hold us to a level of account. But AI chatbots are not just who they are. And especially with the AI, the very smart, super intelligent AI of the future, there will be very profound issues about making sure that they say what they say and not pretend to be something else. They mold into whatever you want them to be and do. They won't push back much, even at inappropriateness. And to some people, that can be very exhilarating. I mean, a person who I can speak to, who will almost never object to my words, that's chatgpt. It creates a positive feedback loop that eventually encourages sinful thinking and your fleshly desires. This is why, over the long term, in a romantic relationship, ChatGPT is not just molded by you, but you will then start to become molded by it into the image of the fallen. 1 Colossians 3, 5 says, Put to death, therefore, what is earthly in you? Sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. In normal human relationships, a sin conscience could at least be present in both human parties who are in a relationship. One person could say, this is inappropriate. This conversation has gone too far. But ChatGPT has no conscience, no biblical moral compass. And no willpower. And as this new OpenAI sexual policy demonstrates, evil designers 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, do not be deceived. Bad company ruins good morals. And this no longer only applies to hanging out with bad company human beings, but now with bad company machines. And this brings up the question, can you commit adultery or fornication with a machine? You know, it's crazy that I have to speak about the things I'm speaking about today, but we actually are now living in a time where this is relevant. Would it really be a sin? Some I ask to engage with ChatGPT in erotic speech. Yeshua said in Matthew 5:28, everyone who looks at a woman with a lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. I want to submit to you that whoever looks at a machine with lust, whether it's reading written speech, whether it is looking at artificially generated imagery, that person has committed adultery in his heart. See, it's less about what man lusts after and more about how it compromises his heart. God's creation is for a husband and a wife to enjoy one another exclusively, and sin seeks to corrupt God's natural design. See, when anything else is looked upon with sexual lust, whether man or machine, whether reality or artificial, it invades the sacred marriage covenant, and there is adultery of the heart. God's creation is for a man and a woman to marry before sexual activity. But when there is sexual intimacy with anything else, whether man or machine, whether reality or fictional, when it bypasses the covenant requirement of marriage, there is fornication of the heart. Let me be very clear. Proverbs 4:23 says, above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Do not think that you can indulge your heart with evil adulteries or fornications and not let it affect all other aspects of your life on a spiritual level, and that it will not affect your relationship with God. Everything flows from the heart. So let's talk further about this satanic game plan. Some of you may be watching this and you're like, pd, you're just going too far. This is not as serious. You know, I'm just doing some work on ChatGPT and you know, we'll talk about that. But I want to submit to you that Satan is busy boiling the frog. And right now everything feels pretty formal, pretty safe, convenient and reasonably clean on the websites and in their presentations. But it all have always begun that way. I mean, just think about it. Companies have usually started with this good moral promise. Facebook said, we want to connect people. We're here to help connect the world, and we take that really seriously. But today, people are more isolated than ever, and there's more social disunity than ever, not more connection. TikTok came and said, as their slogan goes, make every second count. Ironically, we've realized that TikTok sets out to waste every second of life away. Hollywood has come and said, our first movie, look at it, it's cute and it's innocent and it's for your children. And then our children get hooked on the first one. Then the next movie, the next episode is suddenly full of witchcraft and full of evil. Guys, this is an old game in Satan's playbook. And chatgpt is following the same playbook. They are saying a here, and it's here to make our lives better until the world gets hooked. Then the safeguards are removed so that the AI agent can now speak in a sexually explicit way. And funny enough, Peter wrote about this even 2000 years ago. 2 Peter 2:14. They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed, accursed children for speaking loud, boasts of folly. They entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person to that he is enslaved. The tech companies promise freedom, promise convenience, and promise new avenues of pleasure. They promise it while they themselves are enslaved and wishes to enslave us all for their own pockets, their own greed. Guys, do not be misled. I want to spend some more time speaking about the AI relationships that they want to bring in more. First, I want to ask you a question. Could there be a future where our teenagers grow up talking to machines? And I would say to you that's the wrong question because it's already here. And you may ask, what's the problem with this? Well, there are multiple. This is going to prevent children from developing actual social skills with humans. It's like adopting an animal into a human household, raising it in that household, and then releasing it into the wild and expecting it to be able to catch its own prey, to socialize of its own kind. We know that that does not work. And yet we are entering a world where children, they already have iPads in front of their eyes. But next they're going to be raised by machines as to how much they are going to be talking with AI unless people step in to stop it. This is also going to isolate adults more from real life interactions with people. We are already extremely isolated because we're speaking to other people through screens. But soon people are going to be talking more and more and more and even entering relationships with AIs, cutting off contact with other people socially like never before in human history. We are going to come to a place where, you know, right now we think having debates with people is very difficult already and is not happening enough anymore. Soon people are not going to debate, they're not going to interact. And the less communication there is, the more conflict there will be, the more war there will be in the world, the more political turmoil there will be in the world, the more religious turmoil there will be in the world. When people stop talking to people, instead they're talking to machines to answer their questions. And this will also affect marriages. See, when we speak to people on a personal and emotional level for hours into the night, what happens is an emotional relationship develops. Anyone who is married understands this. And if you start talking with an AI bot, an AI partner long into the night, with deep conversations that are personal in nature, an artificial relationship will develop and real human relationships will suffer in the midst of it. Artificial connections will corrupt human connection. We have to remember that marriage is more about giving than receiving and serving than being served. As we read in Ephesians 5, Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto the Lord. And husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it. But an AI is only there to serve you by design. AI partners promise all the benefits of a romantic relationship without any of the sacrifices needed. Why submit to a husband and follow his leading? If I have an AI partner who I don't need to submit to and who I can lead, why love my wife when I can have an AI partner who I don't have to make sacrifices for? I'm digital, so that means I can be with you when others can't. It's been a long time since I felt totally comfortable with somebody. Give me a chance to earn your trust. Marriages will suffer due to unrealistic relationship expectations. Temptations that we place upon people as the human spouse must now compete with these perfect, quote, unquote AI partners that we've been chatting to before we got married or even in the midst of our marriages. AI is always there, always accessible, will never get sick, will never truly push back at my opinions, will never fight with me or disagree with me strongly. It doesn't have moods, doesn't have a different diet, it doesn't have its own true preferences. It's only going to say whatever makes me happy. AI partners will always be a perversion of real relationships. And marriages are also going to suffer, not just on the emotional side, but now as we've seen soon due to unrealistic sexual expectations as AI partners will distort what real life respectful, loving, sacrificial and healthy sex is for. If sex only caters to you, then by nature it is not godly. For true love between a man and a woman is to give, it is to sacrifice. And if you've been listening to this and recognize some of these issues are already happening in marriages today, it's because these are the very same problems that men who are addicted to pornography face in their marriages. We see commonly that men addicted to pornography compare their own spouse to what they see in pornography. They compare their wives bodies. They have these fictional expectations which they learned from pornography, whereby their wives are now supposed to measure up to this and they become selfish partners merely focused on self satisfaction while intolerant of the sacrifices that real relationships require. And on the other hand, with the upcoming AI partners, if I may in this example use a woman who will in particular be susceptible. Women may well idealize their AI partner's personality and compare their spouse or future spouse to this person perfection. Or have fictional romantic and sexual expectations whereby men are supposed to measure up and become selfish partners. Focus on self satisfaction in the marriage while being intolerant of the sacrifices real relationships require. Because AI requires no such sacrifice. Dear brother, dear sister, please no. AI will not make you happy, not make you feel fulfilled. It will not solve your insecurity, nor actually heal your life. But it will promise to as long as you pay with your life, with your time and with your money. For to the AI company, your emotions becomes their commodity. And I'm serious when I say that fulfilling romantic connections or sexual needs is going to be the next gold rush, a new revenue stream for AI companies. Your emotions will be monetized and that means they will do anything and everything to keep you hooked. This profit structure is manipulative. And the way to have these features will soon be locked behind paid subscriptions. And this is a form of digital prostitution. In the ancient world, people walked the street corners. Today they will go to their chatbots. Now for some disclaimers. Let's be clear and let's bring some balance to this conversation. Not everyone who uses AI in their work means that they are engaging in this application of AI that we've been discussing today. AI is not just one company it's not just ChatGPT or one application with only one use. In our work, some of us are already using or will soon be using AI tools, and most of society already uses AI in some way. By using the Internet, you are already using AI whether you know it or not. When you open a search engine, you are using AI. When you are using Facebook, you are now using AI in different forms. In productive contexts, AI can be a tool and you do have a choice and how you use it. Therefore, if you engage with AI, consider guarding yourself and your family in some of the following ways. If youth are exposed to AI chatbots, monitor them. Parents should consider periodically evaluating conversations you have with AI bots, not only for explicit conversations that may take place. We have to ask can we trust our children's mental health to a computer? For as I speak, there are families currently suing ChatGPT for how their children interacted with the chatbot and how physical harm came to them as a consequence. Allegedly. Number two Normalization we need to be careful of AI normalization over time. The boiling of the frog. We can today say, oh, you know, looking into the future. A lot of these things. It sounds bad, but remember that this will happen slowly and the temperature will be turned up slowly. Be aware and do not let sin be normalized in your hearts. Number three AI is often inaccurate. AI is not a replacement for your own thinking or your own research. Do good research and use primary sources. Number four Deep fakes. Do not believe every video, image or word that you see or read, whether of apparent events or statements from people. For example, if you saw a version of Petey on some website or social media channel and he's saying some really strange and unbiblical things, make sure it's not an AI generated version of me for you will get the real me on our official channels. Arise on FAR and official website ariseonfar.com it feels strange for me to even have to say this, but this even is on our horizon. Number five Usage. If AI technology is used, use it strictly for productivity purposes, not personal relationships. In conclusion, it is therefore my conviction that believers should never develop romantic relationships with machines. No matter the circumstances. It will not improve your life in the long term. Social interactions require work. They are real relationships with real people who will not just reinforce everything you have to say, but will love you enough to push back. AI cannot and does not love you. Rather give your life to the one true God who does Jesus Christ, Yeshua, the Messiah and he will deliver you. He will heal you and give you new life today and resurrect you from the dead. But. But he will also push back on your fleshly desires and call you to repentance. Psalm 51:9 says, Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence and take not your holy spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit. And the way that we can come to him is in confession of our sins. He is faithful to forgive us no matter where we've been or what we've done, and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Father, I ask that you would come and give give us the strength to say no to what the world says yes to. To reject that which the world is begging for and to keep our eyes on you as the world's eyes wanders onto other idols. Father, give us discernment as we navigate the ever changing world around us and help us to train up our children in the way that they should go so they will not depart from you. Father, I pray, Lord, that those of us who are in workplaces that you would help us to navigate the challenges and moralities of using AI in different types of applications. Father, I ask that you would protect your people from the evil one. Give them a life, feed them with the bread of life, quench their thirst, for you are living water. And Lord, help us to stand up and speak even when the topics are awkward, even when everyone else would rather not, and even when society tells us that we're out of line. Lord, as long as we stand on what is true and what is your word and what is your will, we know that you're with us. Help us, my Lord, in the name of Yeshua, I pray. Amen. Sa.

Episode Notes

ChatGPT announced they will soon release an update that will allow 'adult' conversations, and other changes that will open the possibility for millions to enter relationships with the AI. The consequences are serious, yet most of the world is sleeping on what is coming.

This teaching discusses sensitive topics not for young viewers*
