Feast of Tabernacles 2026: The Feast of Intimacy

We are at the Feast of Tabernacles, the last of the biblical feasts marking the end of the biblical timeline. In the future, this feast would represent the time after Christ returned, resurrected the dead, and judged men. The Feast of Tabernacles is the wedding supper of the Lamb, where, as Paul described it, we will be with God. face to face. That now I know Him in part, but then I shall know Him fully, even as I have been fully known. One day when we reach that moment, you will have no more use for me, or anyone else for that matter, teaching you. For you will know Him fully. And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest. This moment of the Feast of Tabernacles fulfilled marks the complete fulfillment of the New Covenant that we are in right now. And so, in the spirit of this coming moment, I asked myself, If this was my last day with you before your feast with Him, what would be my last words to you? What would I leave you with? Now, before I share that, I want you to consider that this kind of thing happened quite a few times in Scripture. We see people like Peter, Moses, and even Yeshua Himself all had last words recorded for the people. And I want to share with you a glimpse of their words first. We see Peter speaking in 2 Peter 1:14, and he says this: Since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me, and I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall These things. It's quite beautiful. As Peter is dying, Peter wants to equip the people to a degree where they would be able to recall his teaching even without him being around. That their behavior would be such that it would be as if Peter is still actively instructing them, even though he has actually departed them. That they would not be dependent on Peter's physical presence forever. To spiritually prosper. But as he says, and I want you to hear, listen closely to what he has to say. He says in 2 Peter 1:5 how he wants them to act. Supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly kindness with love. Peter just sums up our faith in a few words here, talking about how important it is to have not one thing or the other. Many people have one thing. They have faith, but they don't have virtue, or they have virtue, but they don't have knowledge, or they have knowledge, but they don't have self-control, or they have self-control, but not steadfastness when a trial comes, and then they just fall over. Or they have the steadfastness, but they don't have godliness. Or they have outward godliness, but they don't have brotherly affection for others. And maybe they have that brotherly kindness, but they don't have sacrificial love when that comes into play. Peter is leaving us with something much deeper than this or that, but the comprehensive call of living like Christ. Peter wants us to understand the importance of being able to prosper spiritually in our relationship with our Father. See, your relationship with God should not be dependent on any man. God has and is using people to proclaim His Gospel, to baptize us, to teach us, but when people who have influenced us in a good way leave your life, will your spiritual life fall apart? If you had a personal relationship with God, not just through another man, then you will survive spiritually. But if the only time that you get fed is when you go to church, listen to a podcast, or a video like this one, then what happens when those things were to be taken away? Because one day they may be taken away during a great persecution or during the death of someone meaningful like Peter. Is your relationship with your Father or through a mediator that you've set up? We can fall so in love with someone whom God has used powerfully, that we miss God in the process. Now, I don't want you to hear what I'm not saying. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have a pastor, spiritual mentors, or elders. In fact, if you don't have that, find that, please. We all absolutely always need godly people and influence in our lives. But what I'm saying to you is that we also need to cultivate our own relationship with God. Making time to pray between you and your Father alone, not just bowing the head when someone else prays at church. I'm talking also about reading the Bible for yourself, not just listening to someone else teach you from it. For then you will not only be around other believers to receive, but to give something. that the Holy Spirit has poured into you during your alone time with Him. See, I believe God is calling us into a new season from consumer to giver. See, we live in a culture of consumption like never before. We move from a podcast to a new music release to a doom scroll through Shorts for 2 hours, and then we wake up and wonder where the time went. And a lot of times the content that we do consume is Biblical, and so we feel a little bit better about that. And you know, it being biblical is a good thing. But there comes a time when we have so many different things that we are consuming that we never actually get to eat of Yeshua, just you and Him alone. See, one day we will see Him face to face. That's what the Feast of Tabernacles is. And today you can eat of him. Our culture wants your identity to be a consumer. They want you to consume whatever they place before you. Your attention is being monetized. But God wants to make you a giver, that just as you meet with him alone and you receive His Holy Spirit, living waters start flowing from you. And I want you to ask yourself, is that what's happening in my life right now? Some of you will just be totally fine if I'm gone tomorrow. And there are some of you that may feel that my absence may make you feel spiritually uncertain. I want to share with you that something that I really need to say, and that is that Yeshua is enough. And I'm honored if He's ever used me to speak something good to you. But don't grow dependent upon me or any other person. Be more dependent on Him, the One who has come to tabernacle not just with you, but inside of you. My greatest desire is that your love for God would be so great that you would prosper with Him even when I'm not around, because even if I'm not there, you'll still find Him. See, just like Peter, our Messiah also needed to depart for a time, and when He did, He said this in John 16:5. But now I'm going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, where are you going? But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. Even though the disciples didn't want Yeshua to leave for a time, He really needed to. His physical departure increased their spiritual reliance on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was in Yeshua. Jesus was filled with Him, but it wasn't until He left that they realized that the power of God Was not only with them through the Messiah, but inside of them. See, when Yeshua was around and someone was sick, they knew that Jesus would deal with it for them. But when Jesus departed them, they had to fully rely on the Holy Spirit inside of them, and that He can work. Even through them. That's a tough one for some of us. Some of us have no problem believing Jesus can heal someone, but that He can do so through me? No, no, no, no, no. That's where we start struggling to believe. Some of us are dependent on servants that God have sent and used, other people who are indeed a blessing to us. But a time comes when God wants you to step out on your own, to fulfill your calling and grow in Holy Spirit confidence yourself so that revival would happen in your workplace, in your family, and in the grocery store that you visit. And I think every parent in one way or another understands what I'm talking about. For, for years you've had this child that you had to pour into, and it becomes inconceivable that you'd ever have to let them go. But then a day comes when they leave the household for their first job, and leaving in its season is good because that's the only way that they learn that they can survive out there without their mom or dad. Around. So you let them go and remind them of what you've taught them. And Paul said the same. He said in 1 Corinthians 4:15, for I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I urge you then, be imitators of me. And so if this was my last day with you, What would be my last words? I'm no one special, but I think that I've never heard anyone say on their deathbed, I wish that I didn't spend so much time with God, or, oh, I wish I didn't spend so much time on my family. On the contrary, people often express regret of not spending enough time with their family, And their Creator that they are about to meet face to face. See, our Feast of Tabernacles is coming, and it's closer than we think. Life is so fragile. And so my words to you, considering all of this and the season that we are in, is that you discover and cultivate your relationship with God. Like never before. Not just through social media, your mom, dad, pastor, or me, but in a deeper intimacy. Now, you don't need to wait for the fulfillment of Tabernacles when you're face to face to tabernacle with Him. On this Feast of Tabernacles, this day, He is inviting you to tabernacle. With him, I want you to know that the Lord has made clear to me that in the future, a day will also come where I will need to depart from you for a little while, and stepping away from the weekly teachings for a season. Right now, I feel like Paul carrying the death of Jesus in my body, and I. I'm being crucified with Christ as I speak. Close to Yeshua's departure, He prayed for His disciples to be protected against the evil one, and that's what I also wish above all for you, and that you would be in unity. In John 17:15, Yeshua prayed and said, I do not ask, Father, that You take them out of the world, But that you keep them from the evil one. We are in this world and we're going to experience incredibly great difficulties at times, but our Father will keep us from the evil one as long as we keep our eyes on Him. And our Father is so wonderful and great that He will even use the devil's schemes against the devil's kingdom. Just as when Satan thought that he was victorious when Christ was being crucified, Christ got resurrected from death to kingship. When Joseph was in prison because he was falsely accused by Potiphar's wife, in time he was resurrected from prison to a palace. And so this day, I ask for you to remember to love one another deeply, to have unity, to seek reconciliation when there is issues between you in family and fellowship, and to ultimately keep your eyes on the Father no matter what you are going through. Because even when you're— you don't know what's going on, he is. And in time, we will be with Him, and we will understand. We will understand all the— we will have answers to all the questions that we don't have answers to today. And I know some of you have had difficulties in your life that you don't have answers to, and I want to give you that hope today that there's going to come a day when you are face to face. One of the promises that Paul gives us is that we will know Him fully as we've been fully known, and that includes knowing His ways in every circumstance that we faced that did not make sense while we were here. And so I love you guys, and I pray for you. My Father, I ask that You would bless every person listening, every fellowship represented, every family represented. Father, I pray that every person listening would find You like never before, Lord, that they would discover You on a level that they never thought would be possible because the Spirit of the living God lives in them. And because Your Spirit lives in us, we can be strengthened Even in impossible situations, in ways that we never thought would be possible. I pray that when that happens, people would see in Your people the life that You have given us. That's only possible through the resurrection that You've given us. I pray, Lord, for everyone who is worried, who's got trial, Who don't know what tomorrow holds, who's concerned for a loved one or a sickness or a financial problem or a career problem or anything else, Father. Lord, I lift these all up to You, and I ask that every child Of the living God, as You've numbered their hairs, that they would know that. And they would know that if You've numbered our hairs, how much more our problems, the things that are top of mind for us all day long. Thank You that You deliver us and You love us even when we've fallen short of Your glory. And that the Feast of Tabernacles represents Your ultimate restoration towards us despite our sins. And that You've forgiven us and cleansed us enough to be able to be with You face to face. Thank You, my Lord, for that. Praise You. In the name of Yeshua the Messiah. Amen.
