It seems everyone believes they are 'led by the Holy Spirit' - yet why do they say the Spirit is telling them contradictory things? Does God speak to us outside the Bible? Many believe He no longer does - that as the Biblical canon was established, there no longer remains a need for God to provide any 'additional revelation.' The Bible is sufficient, after all!

They also argue that if God indeed is speaking to some as they claim, then those words of God would need to be included in the Bible. It's God's words, after all!

Paul wrote that "The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." While some of us have become skilled in explaining what his words do not imply, we have missed the key warning Paul is indeed delivering. This has been devastating for many. It has become acceptable to be considered religious while denying God's power.

We consider radical love, unity and forgiveness as negotiable instead of inseparable from the meaning of 'believer'. This all is now so serious that it is infiltrating and destroying fellowships.

The law is holy, but alone could not deliver Israel from sin. And history is repeating itself as some of God's people live religiously while in bondage. But God is providing a solution.

Some of the suffering in this world cannot be imagined, so how can we reconcile it with the goodness of God? A man born blind, a child who dies before a parent, or a chronic disease? Yet, it was witnessing one such situation that deeply impacted me as a child and drew me to God.

Many things will not make sense at first, but all things work together to His glory for those that love Him. I hope this one small example blesses you.

One of the enemy's greatest deceptions is convincing believers that God has abandoned them, ignored them, or no longer cares. But it's time for us all to discern the voices - our thoughts, people's thoughts, and Satan's thoughts - only God's thoughts matter. We must fully understand and believe what He thinks of us, for that is our identity.

When He seats us in heavenly places with Him in Christ, we must believe it. When He seals us with His Holy Spirit as a guarantee, we must believe it. When He calls us and gives us power over the impossible, we must believe it. There's a war going on right now, trying to stop you from believing it.

Recognizing and believing in your Heavenly Identity will set you free from living a split-identity with one foot in the world. Let's put an end to that.
