In this season, some of us are feeling like our faith is slipping, and we're not quite sure why. In the Exodus, Israel felt like they had nothing, even though they had everything. As soon as ungratefulness entered their hearts, the very things that they thought would satisfy their hunger, became their poison.

When we start yearning back to how things use to be, or how things could be, we miss what God is doing in the present. And this is how many in Israel never made it to the Promised Land. Make it to yours!

Miracles are happening all around those of faith! May your eyes see God in these incredible testimonies from a crowd that was sent out - young & old - some of whom had never done so before. They saw incredible Words of Knowledge come to pass, healing, and even being at the right place at the right time as a car crash occurred right in front of them - allowing them to bring Yeshua to those who don't know Him!

From one extreme to the next. It is true that some are too quick to consider almost everything a demon, but it just as true that some consider practically nothing a demon. Jesus, the greatest scholar, revealed that demons exist, inhabit people, can be cast out by Himself, and those with faith in Him. He taught about them, and there are numerous Biblical accounts of Him directly dealing with varying forms of demonic influence on people.

As much as I wish it weren't the case, demons are still around, and keep people in bondage. We must not only know how to deal with them, but teach people how to avoid getting them in the first place. And since Jesus taught about them, may we break the worldly taboo of teaching about them? Demons prefer the status-quo, because it allows them to operate under the radar. May the light expose the darkness. And may we walk like Yeshua, to give Him glory.

In the 1st century, the Promised Land didn't seem all it was promised to be. Israel is oppressed under Roman occupation and suffers much bondage. But on Shavuot (Pentecost), Yeshua does the unexpected: Instead of delivering His people to heaven, or setting up His reign on Earth, He brings His Kingdom into the midst of them by giving them the Holy Spirit. Yet today, many believers limit their salvation to an "escape-plan to heaven" from this world, instead of seeing salvation as about more than themselves: The salvation of the world (John 12:47)

And understandably, when our trials increase in this world, our eagerness for that escape grows all the more. But perhaps it is for a time like this, that through the Holy Spirit, our eagerness for bringing His Kingdom down should increase all the more, so that multitudes may be saved.

The problem is, we don't realize that we've been conversing with what Jesus calls "swine", until it's too late. We walk away feeling wounded, worn out, dirty and time-wasted. And worst of all: We've been distracted from the people God actually called us to share our precious pearls with.

It's time to stop casting pearls before swine, but to do that, we must learn to identify them.

What is fascinating is that it is these rules that Jesus referenced when speaking to the Pharisees. Jesus is crowned Lord of the Sabbath, amplifying its importance, calling all to believe in God's rest. Now, after 2000 years of Sabbath divisions, He is calling all to enter that rest as He intended, free from the bondage of men. It's time to rediscover the weightier matters of the Sabbath.

It's important to leave Egypt in haste, but not without waiting in Jerusalem. It's important to cleanse our house from the world, but not without filling it with the Holy Spirit. As we exited Unleavened Bread, we must now look to the Messiah's words to "Wait in Jerusalem", to receive the New Bread from Heaven. Otherwise, we will find ourselves with a clean house, while our evil desires remain, and the world will creep back in through the rest of the year. It's time to break the cycle, it's time for the Promise of the Promised Land.

Martha was very busy serving, after all, the Messiah was visiting! There couldn't be a more important person to serve. But she was troubled about many things, feeling overwhelmed & burned out. Then Jesus called her to the good portion, which would be what empowers her to serve better than ever before.

There are troubling things in this life, but there's a place of peace at the feet of Christ for you.
